A US entertainer has apologized for a photograph shoot in which she showed up holding a fake bloodied head that took after US President Donald Trump.

In a video message posted on Twitter, Kathy Griffin “asked” for pardoning and said she had “crossed a line”.

“I’m a comic,” she said. “I go too far. I move the line, then I cross it. I went much too far. The picture is excessively aggravating. I see how it annoys individuals. It wasn’t interesting. I get it.”

She said she is asking VIP picture taker Tyler Shields to bring down the photograph.

“I ask for your pardoning. I went too far,” she said. “I committed an error and I wasn’t right.”

On Tuesday, Shields, who is known for his provocative pictures, discharged photographs he did with Griffin that promptly experienced harsh criticism from individuals on Twitter.

The president’s child, Donald Trump Jr, called the symbolism “appalling yet not astonishing.”

Chelsea Clinton, girl of Trump’s one-time battle equal Hillary Clinton, called the photograph “awful and off-base.”

“It is never entertaining to joke about slaughtering a president,” she composed on Twitter.
