Forbes has crowned Beyonce as the highest paid woman in music. According to Forbes magazine Beyonce has earned $105 million over a yearlong period stretching from June 2016 to June of this year. Beyonce’s earnings were boosted by her “Formation” world tour last year, which Forbes says grossed $250 million.
Adele took home the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in February, Her tour helped contribute to $69 million in earnings. Taylor Swift, Celine Dion and Jennifer Lopez complete the top five highest female earners in the business.
As a result of the timeframe, none of Swift’s income from her new album reputation — the best-selling music release of 2017 — is factored into the list. Instead, it will provide a very sizable boost to her totals for next year. Taylor Swift claimed the third spot with $44 million, a significant drop from her earnings in previous years.
