Journalist Charlie Rose taken off the air by CBS News; PBS after report of sexual misconduct
Charlie Rose is the latest public figure to be felled by sexual misconduct allegations. CBS News suspended Charlie Rose while PBS and Bloomberg will halt distribution of his show after The Washington Post published an extensive report.
The women, who all worked for Rose or tried to work for him, accused the veteran newsman of groping them, walking naked in front of them and telling one that he dreamed about her swimming nude. In addition, two women told The New York Times that he made unwanted advances toward them, trying to kiss them without their permission. The woman, speaking on condition of anonymity because she found the experience so traumatic, also described the incident to The Times.
The Washington Post is reporting that eight women are accusing veteran journalist Charlie Rose, who works for PBS, CBS, and Bloomberg.
In a statement shared via his Twitter account, Rose apologized for his behavior.
