How Is Your Internal Climate? What is Your Fight and Flight Response

Fights to Survive and Tries To Die

Depression is living in a body that fights to survive with a mind that tries to die.

A gentle reminder to check into your internal climate- your internal chatter about yourself. Anxiety can show up in so many ways but particularly in the form of self-doubt, fear, and uncertainty. The thoughts may be loud, but your actions can speak louder. Here are some things to consider when noticing this type of internal dialogue:

๐Ÿ‘‰ I am not good enough
๐Ÿ‘‰ There is no point in trying
๐Ÿ‘‰ I’ll never be good at this
๐Ÿ‘‰ They must not like me
๐Ÿ‘‰ Something is wrong with me
๐Ÿ‘‰ I’m stupid for asking
๐Ÿ‘‰ I won’t be able to learn

Try to examine the thoughts from a third person perspective, as if youโ€™re an observer. Label what you are feeling: โ€œso this is what anxiety feels likeโ€, โ€œso this is what self doubt feels likeโ€. Donโ€™t let yourself attach your identity to the thoughts.

What do you do with your internal dialogue of anxiety and Panic Attacks?
